Shirley Price, 80, Palestine, died Sept. 12, 2020, at the comfort of her home. She was born April 30, 1940, in Salem, Ind., the daughter of Pearl and Loretha (Jones) Agan, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Agan, Bob Agan, and James “Bill” Agan; and by her sisters, Elenora Myers and Midge Arnold; by her son-in-law, Craig Hill; and by her grandson-in-law, Benjamin Sanchez.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hill; by her sons, Rick Ealy and Jeff and wife Esperanza Ealy; by her three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jim Swinford; by her brother, Larry and Patty Agan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She grew up in the Redmon, area before moving to Oakland, where she would graduate in 1958. She would eventually find work at Victor Dana, where she worked in the kit department for 25 years before retiring in 2005.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at noon on Thursday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
