Washington Elementary School is planning a final homework and material drop off as well as a drive thru goodbye.
Any school materials, fundraiser money, library books and all other school issued items need to be dropped off at the school from 5-7 p.m. on May 21.
The same procedure will be in place as the drop off’s prior to this.
Items that are returned will be placed in a drop off bin at the end of the route.
Parents are asked to use Prairie Street to go to the circle drive at the school.
Everyone needs to stay in their vehicles at all times.
Teachers will be stationed along the route so they can say goodbye to the students.
“If you and your family would like to decorate your vehicles to celebrate the end of the school year with your teacher, that would be a fun way to show your support and appreciation,” Jason Stark, WES principal said.
“Once we have a clearer picture of what to expect for the 2020-21 school year, we will reach out to all of you,” Stark said. “We assume that information will come from the State in a timely manner to pass along to you.”
“Thank you for being there for your kids, the teachers and staff, and the community,” he said. “It’s what a small-town is all about.”
