Marion Boone, 89, passed away on Dec. 24, 2020 in the comfort of his own home in Hollywood, Fla. Born Feb. 17, 1931, the son of Elmer and Norma (Pigg) Boone. He married Wilma Gardner on June 4, 1955, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death a grandson, AJ Boone. Bud is survived by his children, Brian K. Boone, Indiana, Kathy Dickerson, James Boone and Joy Parkes, Robinson. Bud had six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Bud had several nieces and nephews. Bud grew up in Sullivan County, and later moved to Robinson in 1982. Bud farmed his entire life, raising corn, soybeans, cattle, hogs, in addition to raising, racing and breeding quarter horses and Thoroughbreds. Raising horses was one of his many pleasures. Bud lived in Hollywood, Fla. the last thirteen years, where he enjoyed riding his scooter on the Boardwalk and enjoying the beautiful weather. He was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books. Bud served in the Air Force and retired from the USDA. Bud was a fifty-year member of the Eastern Star, and was awarded the Gold Pin, Indiana Grand Chapter. There will be a private service for the immediate family.
