Flat Rock First Missionary Baptist Church

During our shelter in place, all church activities and worship services have been suspended until further notice.

Pastor J.D. Branson’s Sunday morning messages may be viewed on Facebook live each Sunday at 10 a.m.

Also, at 6 p.m. Thursdays, Pastor J.D. leads a Bible study which can be viewed on Facebook as well.

The church is at 208 W. First, Flat Rock. For information or assistance, call the church office at 618-584-3215. The church can also be reached at flatrockfmbc@gmail.com. Its website is flatrockfmbc.com. It is also on Facebook.

Crawford County Catholics

There are no daily Masses or weekend Masses until further notice.

Crawford County has two parishes: St. Elizabeth in Robinson and Our Lady of Lourdes in Oblong. Both are administered by Fr. James Flach at the Catholic Parish Center near the Community Center in Robinson.

Mass Times: St. Elizabeth: Weekly Masses are on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at: 7:30 a.m., Tuesday at noon, Wednesdays Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament 8-10 a.m., Saturday Vigil Mass: 4:30 p.m., Sunday Masses: 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Our Lady of Lourdes Parish: Sunday Mass: 9 a.m. Confessions are 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth or by appointment.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will be holding morning prayer on Facebook at 9 a.m. Sunday. The public is welcome.

Robinson First United Methodist Church

Everyone is invited to join Robinson First United Methodist Church Sunday for worship.

Even though there is no public worship service, we will still be live-streaming a service on www.robinsonfumc.org and on WTYE 101.7 FM at 9 a.m. Pastor Jay Regennitter will be preaching and Garrett Graham will be serving as liturgist.

Also on Sunday, Adult Sunday School classes will meet online at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. Older Elementary Sunday School will meet online at 6 p.m.

On Monday, Younger Elementary Sunday School will meet at 4 p.m. On Tuesday, Adult Bible Study will meet at p.m.

On Wednesday, High School Refresh Bible Study will meet at 10 a.m., Kids’ Club will meet at 4 p.m., Middle School Refresh Bible Study will meet at 6 p.m. and SPRC will meet at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, Adult Bible Study will meet at 9:30 a.m.

All meetings will be held through Zoom. To receive a meeting invite, please email Pastor Jay at robinsonfumcpastor@gmail.com. Also on Thursday, NOW Bagging will be at 4 p.m.

Palestine First United Methodist Church

Worship service at Palestine First United Methodist Church, 206 W. Market Street, normally begins at 11 a.m. each Sunday. The hospitality room is open with cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate at 10:30 a.m. In compliance with health guidelines, we are not currently meeting. We hope to be back in church when it is safe for all. The “tentative” date for resuming in-church service is May 31. Please check for updates.

The pastor is Jim Conlin. The administrative board president is Larry Surrells. Nancy Carter is the secretary-treasurer, Harry Redman is the custodian and Judy Holton is the pianist.

The Palestine First U.M. Church hosts the Wabash Valley Chapter of Project Linus on the last Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. set up time and 9:30 meeting time. Linus members make blankets to help children in times of distress. New volunteers are always welcome. For more information contact Nancy Wright at 592-3200 or Judy Ogle at 544-3225. The Palestine First U.M. Church also supports the local food bank and the free holiday meals.
