RHS boys 3rd, girls 7th at Robinson Invite
Solid performances all around resulted in strong finishes for Robinson High School's cross country teams in a deep and talented field at their annual Robinson Invitational Thursday (Oct. 3).

Lady Maroons fall at Newton in two
Sometimes a team just plays a little bit better than you do and that was the case for Robinson High School's volleyball team Thursday night (Oct. 3).

The Lady Maroons did not necessarily play bad, but host Newton played a bit better and handed RHS a two-set defeat in their Little Illini Conference contest, 15-25, 19-25.

"Newton is a very good team," RHS head coach Eric Dean said. "I don't feel like we played a bad game tonight, we just couldn't put a ball away. Their defense was tremendous and they kept every ball alive. I am proud of the way we fought until the very end."

After seeing their seven-match winning streak come to an end Tuesday, the Lady Maroons righted the ship Wednesday (Oct. 2) by edging visiting Olney in a dual match, 5-4.

"The quality of our depth in our line-up has been a key for many of our wins this season and tonight was no exception with our team winning in singles at Nos. 3,4,5 and 6," RHS head coach Steve Jenkins said.

RHS girls' tennis falls to Teutopolis, 8-1
It was a rough night on the court for Robinson High School's girls' tennis team Tuesday (Oct. 1), as they dropped a dual match to Teutopolis, 8-1, to snap a seven-match winning streak.
