RHS wrestlers dominate Carmi, 66-18
Wins came via either pin or forfeit for Robinson High School's wrestling team Wednesday (Dec. 13) and the end result was a dominating victory.

The Maroons scored wins in 11 of 14 matches and rolled to 66-18 win over visiting Carmi in a dual match in the RHS gym.

"No doubt about it, Robinson Wrestling had a good night," RHS head coach Joe Cunningham said. "Carmi is a team that is trying to rebuild a program just like we are. They have a long tradition in wrestling and I really like and admire their coach. We picked up the victory tonight because we won the matches we should have won and also won most of the toss-up matches that could have gone either way."

New bat rules coming to youth leagues
An effort to provide the best bats for the future of the game of baseball has resulted in new bat standards that will go into effect for 2018 for many leagues across the country.

Included in that group of leagues is Little League, which Robinson participates in, as well as Babe Ruth, which all of Crawford County plays in.

According to information littleleague.org, effective Jan. 1, "Little League Baseball will adhere to the new USABat standard. No bats previously approved for use in Little League Play (Junior League Baseball and below) will be permitted to be used in any Little League game or practice, or other Little League function, event or activity."
