Lady Maroons beat North Central
Improved play as the night went on helped Robinson High School's volleyball team pick up another win Monday (Sept. 30).

The Lady Maroons rallied after dropping the first set to win in three sets over visiting North Central, Ind., 22-25, 25-15, 25-17. The win was also the 200th for Dean as head coach of the Lady Maroons.

"It's always good to get a win," Dean said. "We didn't play very well in the first set. We had a lot of mental mistakes that prevented us from getting on any good runs. We cleaned it up in the second and third sets and played much better. Bailey Strauch stepped up tonight and had two huge serve runs for us."

Maroons blank Casey-Westfield, 20-0
Four quarters of solid football added up to a win for Robinson High School's football team Friday night (Sept. 27).

The Maroons played well from start to finish and scored a 20-0 victory over Casey-Westfield in Little Illini Conference action.

It was the second win of the season for RHS, with both of them coming via shutout.

"This was probably the closest we've come to playing a complete game all season," RHS head coach Casey Pinnell said. "The offense came out and scored early and controlled the game, special teams played well and defense put up a shut out. The kids did a good job of playing their tails off and staying positive throughout the game. It was kind of a perfect storm, as Casey plays a style that matches our strengths and we were able to use that to our advantage."
