The Maroons swept in singles and doubles matches, including six wins in straight sets, on their way to a 9-0 victory over visiting Fairfield.

Dominant play across the board led Robinson High School's boys' tennis team to a lopsided victory Tuesday (April 25).
The Maroons lost just one set in the entire match and rolled to a 7-0 victory at Newton.
"Playing a team for the second time can add a bit of mental stress," RHS head coach Tom Buchanan said. "We handled Newton really well two weeks earlier and we wanted to make sure we took care of business today. We had a few points of stress where we let the opponent back into the match, but we corrected it and completed the sweep."
Competition was close, but Robinson High School's girls' track team was able to come out on top in a four-team meet at Newton Monday (April 24).
The Lady Maroons won five events and had strong finishes in several more on their way to racking up 124 points and edging Teutopolis, who finished second with 123. Newton was third with 113 and Palestine-Hutsonville fourth with 24.
