Recent struggles continued for Lincoln Trail College's volleyball team and the end result was another loss on the road.

The Lady Statesmen dropped their second road match this week and third straight overall in a four-set loss at Rend Lake College, 22-25, 13-25, 28-26, 20-25 (Oct. 2).

"I'm to the point that I'm only playing girls with the drive to win and an overall positive attitude," LTC head coach Dana Goodwin said. "I had a completely new line-up in the third and fourth sets that worked. The entire atmosphere on the court changed for the better."

Tori Combs led LTC with 12 blocks, eight kills, two digs and one ace, while Souadou Bangoura posted 14 kills, one block and one dig. Mackenzie Rinehart totaled 17 assists, two aces, one kill and one dig, Sydni Bailey contributed 10 digs, three kills and one block, Myriah Warner recorded 12 digs and two assists, Jordan Christy collected five blocks, three kills, three digs and one ace and J'Amy Jackson netted six kills and three blocks.
