Oblong golfers down Robinson in dual match at Oak Glen

Oblong High School's boys' golf team hosted county foe Robinson and came away with the victory at Oak Glen Golf Course.
The Panthers finished the meet with a score of 175, which was better than the Maroons' 186.
Grant Kidwell led OHS with a round of 42 to earn medalist honors, while Jake Smothers and Hayden Johnson scored with rounds of 44 apiece, as did Braden Thompson with a 45. Also for OHS, Jonathan Littlejohn shot a 49, Joe Pugh finished with a 55 and Caleb Newman had a 60.
For RHS, Nick Weber and Will Prindable led the way with rounds of 45 apiece, while Cole Johnson and Nyah Schulte each scored with a 48. Also for RHS, Joe Quick carded a 49, Levi Middleton shot a 51, Taylor Maxwell and Paul Benton each finished with a 61 and Gavin Bayne had a 68.
In a girls' meet, Effingham St. Anthony finished with a team score of 173, but they had the lone team score.
Oblong has just one golfer, as Morgan Gill shot a 61.
St. Anthony's Ellie Wegman earned medalist honors with a 42.
