Robinson girls' tennis drops match at Olney, 8-1
Sports Editor

Wins were hard to come by on the court Tuesday (Oct. 9), resulting in Robinson High School's girls' tennis team suffering an 8-1 loss at Olney.

"We had some well-played matches, we just didn't get the wins," RHS head coach Steve Jenkins said.

The lone win for RHS came at No. 3 doubles, where Sophie Watson and Destanee Liston teamed up for a three-set win over Burgener and Piercefield, 6-4, 3-6, 10-5.

"Sophie and Destanee have been two of our hardest workers on our team this past summer and fall season," Jenkins said. "It was great to see them get a varsity win. They really played well together. Their court movement and shot placement was really solid tonight."
