Lady Statesmen fall to John A. Logan
| The third time wasn't the charm for Lincoln Trail College's volleyball team Wednesday night (Oct. 3).|
The Lady Statesmen played their third home match in as many days and came out on the losing end of all of them, with the latest being a three-set loss to John A. Logan College, 16-25, 19-25, 17-25.
"Although John A. Logan is a tough team, I am proud of the girls for playing hard in all three sets," LTC head coach Dana Goodwin said. "It was the consistency that I have been looking for. Our setting was a little off tonight, resulting in a weaker offense."
Samantha Brookman led LTC with 10 spikes, including three kills, nine good serves, three kills, two blocks, two digs and one assist, while Rachel Crumrin contributed 23 good sets with 11 assists, four good serves and one dig. Jordan Christy posted 15 good serves with three aces, eight spikes and two digs, Linzy Lunsford collected 15 spikes with four kills, six good serves, three digs, two good sets, one assist and one block, Myriah Warner netted nine good serves, seven spikes and 15 digs and Baylee Baker totaled 28 good sets with seven assists, five good serves, three digs and one kill.
