Four consistent quarters did not add up to a win for Hutsonville-Palestine's boys' basketball team Tuesday night (Nov. 28).

The Tigers scored nearly the same number of points in each quarter, but they were also outscored in every period on their way to a 68-45 loss at Red Hill in non-conference action.

Hutsonville-Palestine trailed 20-11 after one quarter, then was outscored 17-11 in the second quarter for a 37-22 halftime deficit. The Tigers were then outscored 17-12 in the third quarter and 14-11 in the fourth to reach the final margin.

Jerry Gower led Hutsonville-Palestine with 14 points, while Evan Newlin tossed in eight. Chris Thacker netted seven points, Isaac York scored six, Aaron Nehls contributed five, Zeke Nave and Chase Knoblett each added two and Will Newlin had one.

Drew Moore led Red Hill with 28 points, while Parker Havill also cracked double digits with 13.

Hutsonville-Palestine also lost the junior varsity game, 51-48.

Thacker and Will Newlin shared scoring honors for the Tigers with 13 points apiece, while Adam Pickering also reached double digits with 10.
