Lady Panthers rally to beat Cisne in three in non-conference match

They didn't make it easy on themselves, but Oblong High School's volleyball team found a way to pick up another win Thursday (Sept. 7).

The Lady Panthers rallied to beat Cisne in three sets, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20, in their non-conference contest.

Samantha Johnson led OHS with 12 points, including six aces and nine kills, while Summer Johnson posted five points with two aces and 10 kills. Paige Mendenhall netted five points with one ace, Alyssa Potts scored four points and Abbie Dart added three points, 27 assists and two kills.

"We had 27 kills tonight," OHS head coach Pam Johnson said. The girls did a great job finding the holes in Cisne's defense."

Oblong also won the junior varsity match in three sets, 13-25, 25-20, 25-12.

Jalyn Collier led OHS with 12 points, including three aces and three kills, while Alyssa Potts totaled 11 points with two aces and four kills and Hannah Meese posted four points, four kills and three assists.
