Dominant play across the board led Robinson High School's boys' tennis team to a lopsided victory Tuesday (April 25).
The Maroons lost just one set in the entire match and rolled to a 7-0 victory at Newton.
"Playing a team for the second time can add a bit of mental stress," RHS head coach Tom Buchanan said. "We handled Newton really well two weeks earlier and we wanted to make sure we took care of business today. We had a few points of stress where we let the opponent back into the match, but we corrected it and completed the sweep."
In singles play, Robinson got wins from Dillon Rariden, Kaden Buchanan, David Jenkins and Cameron Ireland, all of which were in straight sets.
In doubles, the teams of Lukas Baird and Zach Clements and Josh Rosborough and Lucas Blunier both won in two sets, while Preston Ireland and Brendan Inboden needed three sets to win at No. 2.
