Two more games, two more losses for Nuttall Middle School's girls' basketball teams.
Robinson dropped a pair of games to visiting Jasper County Thursday, losing the eighth grade game 31-18 and the seventh grade contest, 24-14.
In the eighth grade game, Robinson dug themselves an 8-4 hole after one quarter of play and trailed 13-8 at halftime. The Lady Raiders closed the gap to 17-15 after three quarters, but were outscored by Jasper County 14-3 in the fourth quarter.
Alexis Sullivan and Kirbie Mendenhall topped NMS (1-3) with six points and four rebounds apiece, while Anna Jones netted four points and five rebounds. Josie Goff also posted two points, four rebounds, one steal and one assist for the Lady Raiders.
In the seventh grade game, Robinson fell behind 10-4 after the first quarter and never recovered. The Lady Raiders trailed 18-8 at halftime before closing the gap to 20-11 after three quarters. Robinson was then outscored 4-3 in the fourth quarter to reach the final margin.
Kealie Jenkins led NMS (0-4) with four points and two rebounds, while Tyra Kinney posted four points and one rebound. Laini Wright totaled three points, two rebounds and two steals and Skylar Maus tossed in three points for the Lady Raiders.
Robinson will play at Charleston Monday at 6 p.m.
