The first of three over-sized loads is being transported this week from Mt. Vernon, Ind. to Robinson and the Illinois Department of Transportation District 7 Office is in charge of the transport logistics.
The 24-foot wide refinery unit is heading to the Marathon refinery in Robinson.
The first leg of the trip is Monday, leaving Mt. Vernon early today and heading to the truck stop in Grayville, where it will be parked overnight.
Leg two of the trip is Tuesday, from Grayville to Olney, with Illinois Route 130 to be completely shut down from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The unit will be parked overnight Tuesday at CGB in Olney.
Then, leg three of the trip is Wednesday, moving from Olney, along Route 50 west to Noble, then back to Olney along Old Route 250, then north on Route 130 to Newton.
Leg four of the trip is Thursday, from Newton to Robinson along Illinois Route 33.
All motorists along these routes should make alternate plans for travel.
The final two over-sized convoys will be made the next two weeks, with the same route of travel and the same closures expected.
