Police present seminar on scams
Session will cover how to avoid them, and what to do if you're a victim.
Each year citizens are scammed out of millions of their hard-earned dollars. With the increased sophistication of technology, scammers are constantly coming up with new ways to get their hands on your money.

The Robinson Police Department is playing host to a seminar on scamming and how to avoid it at the Robinson Community Center Monday, Oct. 7, beginning at 6 p.m.

Local officers will make a brief presentation about the common types of scams and how to avoid becoming a victim. They will also cover what to do if you become a victim. They will also be prepared to answer general questions about the topic.

Those who have questions may contact Sgt. Dan Strauch at the Robinson Police Department at 544-2217, or by using the Department's Facebook page.
