'Beauty and the Beast' cast announced for spring
Lincoln Trail College's Theater Department has announced the cast for Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Music director Rebecca Carmack debuts on the LTC stage as Belle, the smart, plucky heroine who longs for more than her provincial life. John Sharma will bring the prince transformed into a hot-tempered Beast to life.

Samuel Mikeworth returns to LTC as the as the egotistical, manipulative yet charming villain, Gaston. Brennan Seth Tracy appears as Belle's eccentric inventor father, Maurice. Gaston's sidekick LeFou will be played by Ryan Mikeworth.

Daniel Dix is Cogsworth, the tightly wound mantle clock, and Chris Jansen is Lumiere, the suave, debonair enchanted candelabra, Mrs. Potts, the warm-hearted enchanted teapot will be played by Becky Miller, while Sicily Rawlings is her teacup son, Chip. Jamie Cox, in her first LTC show, plays the feather duster, Babette. Amy Drake is the opera diva turned wardrobe, Madame de la Grande Bouche. Ryan Pinkston is the sinister Monsieur D'Arque.

They are supported by a company including Kody Ballew, Jessica Basile, Taliyah Batchelor, Vickie Becker, Daniel Boatman, Jennifer Boatman, Roxanne Boatman, Ruth Boatman, Vincent Boatman, Amaya Brimberry, Xavier Brown, Ashley Butler, Victoriya Cheesman, Hudson Dix, Larry Dix, Carrie Drennan, Mindy Evans, Baylor Forman, Brynn Forman, Mikaila Graham, Braden Hook, Marty Kirk, Kelsey Ledermann, Sabrina Malone, Brian Manhart, Abigail Metheny, Jessica Moore, Tom Moore, Mallory Mosbey, Monroe Nethery, Emma Newlin, Kirsten Potts, Alexa Rank, Ashtyn Reid, Callie Reid, Hannah Reid, Spencer Roe-Weaver, Jordon Rutan, Nyah Schulte, Elie Schutte, Jasleen Sharma, Lyla Stewart, Isaac Wilson, Alan Wiseman and Rachel Wiseman.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice. The show will be under the direction of Barbara Shimer and music director Sandra Nichols. A veteran crew will bring the production to life including technical director Larry Quick, producer Robert Quick, costumers Cary Schiller and Mary Arabatgis, lighting designer Chris Blair and choreographer Jessica Cheesman. Steve Jenkins will oversee the Robinson High School Building Trades class as they construct the set.

Performances will be in the LTC Zwermann Arts Center March 22-24 and 29-31. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and go on sale March 11.

Performing Arts Angels will have the opportunity to reserve tickets beginning Feb. 25. Angels are also invited to the hospitality room open 30 minutes before each performance.
