It's once again time for Crawford County residents to get rid of more trash - more trash, that is, than they are normally able to get rid of in their weekly pickups.
Fall cleanup dates have recently been announced and will occur later this month. Robinson's yard waste pickup days will be Oct. 16-20 on normal trash pickup days.
As far as scavenging restrictions go, D&M Salvage and Recycling Services have the rights to pick up any metals, such as washers, dryers and water heaters; however, they will not pick up refrigerators.
Republic Services will pick up trash for their paid-up Robinson customers Oct. 23-27 on normal pickup days. They will not pick up tires, liquid paint, flammable materials, appliances, air conditioners, hazardous materials, propane tanks, batteries or yard waste.
Oblong's cleanup day will be Thursday, Oct. 19 for paid-up Republic customers only. All items must be bagged, boxed or bundled. No metal pickup is scheduled.
Fall cleanup for Palestine will be Oct. 18-20 on regular pickup days. Construction materials and yard waste will be collected.
Hutsonville's cleanup day will be Tuesday, Oct. 17.
