The Oblong Unit 4 Board of Education Monday night made personnel and policy moves to close out one school year and prepare for the next.
The board approved Chad Pusey as volunteer head football coach and also approved Nicole Ohnesorge as elementary teacher.
The board accepted Barb Potts' resignation as Beta Club Sponsor and Miranda Waddell's resignation as elementary teacher and approved the list of summer workers.
Also, the board approved the 2016-17 final school calendar and also a number of mandated policy updates.
In other business, the board approved district fees for the 2017-18 school year and also approved a request from the OHS Junior Class of 2019 to hold the 2018 prom in the Oblong Elementary School Gym on Saturday, April 28. 2018.
Also, the board approved:
FFA officers' request to attend the Illinois FFA Convention in Springfield June 13-15.
First Agency Inc. as student accident insurance provider for the 2017-18 school year.
Agreements with the Crawford County Health Department, Mediacom, and ERBA Head Start.
The next regular meeting will be Monday, June 19,at 7 p.m. in the Oblong Elementary Oblong Room.
