A newly released game with a local flavor will help support the Crawford County Forest Preserve.
Crawford County-opoly is a board game based on the famous Monopoly game, but features Crawford County businesses and organizations instead of states and famous streets. The game was commissioned by the Crawford County Forest Preserve and all proceeds will be used for projects and activities at the preserve.
The box cover is a collage of photos depicting life in Crawford County previously featured in the Daily News, including the March 10, 2010, edition featuring the Robinson Maroon's state high-school boys basketball championship win.
The game costs $30, and are available at the Robinson IGA and Heath Confectionery and Museum. They can also be purchased online at www.maineventpromotions.net.
