4-wheelers don't know meaning of 'trespassing'
Editor:

Spring is happening all around us with flowers and birds returning and the weather improving.  Unfortunately what's also returning are the four-wheelers running through the woods, fields and tearing up the land.

More support for youth programs
Editor:

I am writing to support afterschool program funding, particularly for the Teen REACH ACE Afterschool Program and Summer Success in Crawford County.  I had the privilege of working in the program where I met some outstanding adult role models and children who grew by leaps and bounds under their tutelage.

Supporters of youth programs keep speaking out
Editor:

I am writing to request that funding be restored for the Teen REACH/ACE afterschool and Summer Success programs. This program is located in Crawford County and is absolutely essential to at least four small towns in the area.

Student credits career path to Summer Success, afterschool volunteering
Editor:

This letter is being written in regards to the possible extinction of the Teen REACH funding for the state of Illinois. The ACE afterschool program has had many positive effects not only on me, but on others as well and in more ways than one. I write this in hope that my story can demonstrate just how much of a force for good this program is.

Pre-med student credits program for motivation
Editor:

I am writing this in regards to the proposed eradication of Teen REACH funding for Illinois. To begin my sincere dissent, I would like to express how much Teen REACH after school program had a positive impact on me and how I have witnessed this in others. I hope my story can attest to the support that this program provides.

As most people are well aware, the number of data breaches continues to skyrocket in this country with no end in sight. Unfortunately, everyone but the criminal loses in these breaches.

U.S. must stand with Israel, or fall
Editor:

In response to the  Mr. Bonelli column (Jan. 28 Daily News) I'm wondering if he thinks President Obama might be disrespectful to Netanyahu when he says he won't meet with him because he doesn't want to influence the Israeli election but yet he's sending his campaign team to Israel to defeat Netanyhu.

Is money being well-spent in U.S. 50 project?
Editor:

There was an article in the Robinson Daily News [Jan. 26] about the progress on four lanes for US 50. It implied that the first phase would be to bypass the bottlenecks in Lebanon, Carlyle and Salem.

Editor:

In the Jan. 21 paper there is an article about the President saying that Congress should try living on $15,000 to support a family of four and wanting to raise the minimum wage.
