More than 4,600 Norris Electric Cooperative members were without power after a strong Wednesday-afternoon storm snapped power poles along Illinois Route 33.

Magician Daniel Lusk performed at Robinson Public Library Tuesday, involving kids in several magic tricks including pulling a basketball out of briefcase, turning three white rings into one colorful ring and having a volunteer lift a heavy barbell. Through magic he taught the children the values they must display while competing in life.
