Crawford County on behalf of the Village of Hutsonville will hold a public hearing on August 13, 2020, at 5:45 P.M., via teleconference 650-215-5226 (if your mobile device asks for a pass code enter 1637198329#35389878#) to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federal funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project. On or about September 1, 2020, Crawford County on behalf of the Village of Hutsonville intends to apply to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant from the State CDBG program. This program is funded by Title 1 of the federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. These funds are to be used for a community development project that will include the following activities: Construction of a new Waste Water Treatment Facility; Including: High Density Polyethylene Sheet Lined Aerated Lagoon, Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility, Flow Measurement, Electrical / Telemetry, abandonment of the Existing Waste Water Treatment Facility, and lift Station Upgrade / Replacement. The total amount of CDBG funds to be requested is $1,040,500.98. The amount of CDBG funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit low-to-moderate income persons is $431,807.91. Crawford County also proposes to expend no dollars in non-CDBG funds on the project.
Information related to this project will be available for review prior to the public hearing as of Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Crawford County Annex between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Written comments should be submitted to Heather Neuman, P.O. Box 209, Albion, IL 62806 no later than Thursday, August 13, 2020 in order to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings. A plan to minimize displacement and provide assistance to those displaced has been prepared by Crawford County and is also available to the public.
