A pair of Crawford County track teams picked up wins in their respective multi-team meets at Lawrenceville Wednesday (April 25).
In the boys' meet, Palestine-Hutsonville totaled 93.5 points to pick up the win, while Red Hill (72), Lawrenceville (62.5), Oblong (50) and Vincennes Rivet (6) completed the field.
The Pioneers got wins from Chase Knoblett in the 200 (22.99) and high jump (5-8),Nick Booth in the 100 (11.18), Negus Bogard in the 800 (2:03.24) and the 800 relay team of Booth, Colton Hayes, Jarin Blankenbecker and Blaize Dedrick (1:42.84), while finishing second were Knoblett in the 100 (11.21). Booth in the 200 (23.58), Evan Holscher in the 400 (1:01.50), Nathan More in the 1600 (4:55), Dedrick in the long jump (15-8.25) and the 1600 relay team of Holscher, More, Bogard and Knoblett (3:50.49).
Oblong was led by Trey Potts, who finished first in the discus (129-4) and second in the shot put (39-9), while Jared Bailey was first in the triple jump (32-0) and second in the 110 hurdles (19.93) and 300 hurdles (51.12), while Garrett Tracy was also second in the high jump (5-4).
In the girls' meet, Robinson racked up 165 points to win the meet, followed by Vincennes Rivet (113), Lawrenceville (87), Oblong (80), Palestine-Hutsonville (50) and Red Hill (39).
Winning for RHS were Lauren Weber in the 400 (1:06.74), Amy McGahey in the triple jump (31-11.5), the 400 relay team of Ella Florkowski, McGahey, Weber and Amber Hillard (52.90) and the 1600 relay team of Audrey Maxwell, Daphne Phillippe, Hillard and Weber (4:35), while finishing second were Hillard in the 300 hurdles (48.21), Julia Gallion in the 800 (2:44.99), Phillippe in the shot put (34-3), Andrea Schalburg in the pole vault (6-6), Edy Treadway in the high jump (4-6), McGahey in the long jump (15-5.75), Weber in the triple jump (28-11.5), the 800 relay team of Florkowski, Kylie Wolf, Maxwell and Phillippe (1:59.98) and the 3200 relay team of Adriann Randolph, Gallion, Schalburg and Phillippe (11:56.49).
For Oblong, wins came from Valerie Gorgen in the 800 (2:42.84), Sophia Allen in the 1600 (6:00.17), Shyanna Chapman in the discus (105-11) and the 3200 relay team of Sophia Allen, Klara Meyer, Siri Vudhananda and Gorgen (10:58.96), while the same group was also second in the 1600 relay.
For Palestine-Hutsonville, Mandi Alspach won the high jump (4-8), as did the 800 relay team of Megan Funk, Paige Matthews, Megan Burton and Alspach (1:59.24), while the lone second-place finisher was Kendra Biggs in the discus (90-7).
